Hospital chimes announce twins' birth
Double chimes were played at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane early Tuesday morning to announce the arrival of the Howland twins, Braylon Michael and Kaden Darold Howland sons of Bryan and Ashley (Stanton) Howland of Lewiston.
After their mother was airlifted to Spokane Monday evening, Braylon was born by C-section at 11:40 p.m., Monday, March 1, 2010 and his brother Kaden arrived two minutes later at 11:42 p.m. at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA.
Their original due date was May 9.
Braylon weighed 3 lbs. 5 oz and Kaden weighed 2 lbs. 12 oz. These are the couple’s firstborn children.
They are the first grandchildren for both the paternal grandparents Brenda Mattson and Mike Howland of St. Maries and maternal grandparents Darold and Marcie Stanton of Orofino.
Other proud relatives are uncle Cody Stanton and great-grandmother Cloann McNall.
It is a tradition at both Sacred Heart and Deaconess Hospitals in Spokane to play lullaby chimes each time a new baby is born.
